Sexual Reproduction

Making more of your kind with the help of another.

Today we are going to know about the Male Reproductive System!

First the production of Sperms is known as Spermatogenesis.

The Testes is responsible for Spermatogenesis. The external layer covering the testes is called Scrotum. Inside the Testes there are tubules known as Seminiferous Tubules.

Now the Sperm Cells travel through Epididymis the through Vas Deferens.

Now wait before we continue we must know about 2 things:

Accessory Glands: These are collection of Glandular tissue present at various intervals in the Male Reproductive System which add fluid known as Seminal Fluid.

Seminal Fluid: Provides a medium for motility and helps the Sperm to move through the Female Reproductive System.

Now the first Accessory Gland is the Seminal Vesicles which empties the Seminal Fluid via the Vas Deferens.

Now the Sperm travels through a duct known as Ejaculatory Duct.

Now the Ejaculatory Duct passes through the posterior region of the second Accessory Gland which is the Prostate Gland.

The Prostate Gland is the largest Accessory Gland.

The Sperms travel through the Urethra and receive their last Seminal Fluid from the third Accessory Gland known as Bulbourethral Gland.

They are tiny and provide Lubrication. Now the Urethra enters the Penis.

The process of ejecting of mature Sperm along with Semen out of the Male Reproductive System via the Penis is called Ejaculation.

Thank you!
