An invention is a new way of making or doing something. Many inventions save time and effort and make life easier.
Now Inventions and Discovery are different from each other...
A discovery is something you find that already exists.
Some discovery helped people to survive- FIRE! Early people discovered that rubbing two pieces of wood or a stone together could make sparks to light a fire.
To make fire easier, they made a bow with a string to spin one piece of wood, when the fire-stick was rotated very fast against another flat piece of wood it starts to catch fire.
Now lets talk about other inventions-
The seat belts in the cars were first fitted on 1959 by a Swedish Company.
The first electric washing machine was made in 1906.
