The wheel was invented over 5,000 years ago. By attaching wheels to vehicles or carts, it is easier to move goods and people to another place. And in the past the wheel led to the development of trade.

Now the early people used logs or tree trunks to roll a load along, then they used solid wheels made from planks, then spoke wheels in chariots and now we use rubber tires to improve grip.

Now the wheels were not only used for transportation but for other works to like the Potter's Wheel which the potter spins and shapes his clay. The first potters wheel was used in Southwestern Asia around 3500 B.C. The Waterwheel which uses water to spin and grind grains into flour and this wheel was invented in Greece. Or the Spinning Wheel which was invented in China around 3,000 year ago to spin silk, wool and cotton into fine thread which was ready to weave into cloths.
