Fuel Depletion And The Problem With Pollution | Science Specials Week S01 E11

Hello guys, today we are going to see some 11 points on Fuel Depletion And Pollution.
Our country's condition on pollution is very fragile. And we need to understand how bad is Pollution [Explained With Science].
And when it comes to fuel depletion, not only India, but many other countries are facing the same problem (or will face the problem in the upcoming future)!

And that's why this post is made to create an awareness about Pollution And Fuel Depletion.
So, pay attention to the facts and try to understand the Science.
So, Let's Get Started!

I. Stop fuel depletion!
Yes, you heard me right. You know that we have been hearing that fuel is a precious resource from the earlier times.

II. Also, as there is an increase in the fuel consumption for the past many years, it has lead to harmful effects on our environment.
And that's not my words, even the government has launched so many initiatives to avoid pollution. But an act, is of no use without us.
If we go to scientific level of this problem, then you should know that-

III. When carbon fuels are burnt excessively, they release unburnt carbon particles into the atmosphere which I very harmful for us humans. It can even cause asthma!! Be aware!
The fine carbon particles can become pollutants causing a number of respiratory problems such as asthma. During this, absorbing oxygen into our system become a challenge. And you already know how important oxygen is for our survival!

IV. Incomplete combustion of fuels produces toxic and harmful gases such as carbon monoxide. Carbon monoxide is the product of incomplete combustion of organic matter due to insufficient oxygen supply to enable complete oxidation to carbon dioxide.
Carbon monoxide is very dangerous because it does not allow the transfer of oxygen molecules in our blood stream. It gets attached to red blood cells.

V. If even 1 molecule out of the 1 million molecules of air contain carbon monoxide then it can lead to toxicity.
Increased amount of carbon dioxide in air can lead to global warming.

VI. The radiated heat is of a different wavelength and thus only a little bit escapes.
Carbon dioxide absorbs heat and the greenhouse effect is produced. Thus the earth gets warmer. Heat energy is emitted, keeping our environment warm. Heat that remains on Earth is greater than that which escapes in the outer space.

VII. Incoming solar radiation is absorbed in the atmosphere by greenhouse gases. Some part of the radiation is radiated out to space, but as carbon dioxide is present in the atmosphere, some parts radiate back in as carbon dioxide absorbs The radiated heat.

VIII. Infra red radiation from surface makes global warming and greenhouse effect.
The more the carbon dioxide, the more warmer the earth gets. The more warmer the earth gets, the more ice caps melt and the more the ice caps melt, the more chances of flooding and disasters etc. Occurs.

IX. Stop pollution: Over seven million people die due to air Pollution, more than half did prematurely due to indoor pollution.
So what is Indoor Pollution, you may ask.
Well, indoor pollution is just the dust, dirt, smoke or gases in the air inside buildings like your home as there are several workplaces or activities at your home in which fire or pollution is involved. Eg.: Soot And Dust.

X. Burning of coal and diesel produces sulfur dioxide gas and it is a suffocating and corrosive gas.
Oxides of sulfur and nitrogen in air react with water to give acid. And that's how acid rain happens!!
Sulfuric acid and nitric acid present in rain react and produce acid rain. It harms living and non living objects.

XI. CNG is slowly Replacing petrol as it is a cleaner fuel.
Finally, with an ending note of this particular blog, save petroleum, don't pollute and make environment more cleaner! 🙂👍🌱
