Resources
*Anything that can be used to satisfy a need is known as resource. Time plays an important role in the value of an resource.
Time and technology can change the economic value and creation of new resource.

There are 3 types of resources:
1. Natural resources which are obtained from nature.
2. Human made resources are made by Human which are processed from natural resources.
3. Human resources are made by Humans using their mental and physical use which is their skills, abilities and knowledge.

Now how can we improve the quality of people skills?
Here only the Human resource Development comes, it develops the quality of people skills so that they are able to create more resources.

There are different forms of resources. They can be classified -
(A) Based on their origin.
(B) Based on their renewability.
(C) Based on their availability.
(D) Based on their ownership.
(E) Based on their usage.

Now we can see each one of them:
Biotic resources are obtained from living things like plants and animals.
Abiotic resources are obtained from non-living things like rocks.
Localised resources are found only in certain parts of the world.
Universal resources are found all over the world.
Actual resources are utilised at present and whose quantity are known.
Potential resources are not being used at the present and whose entire quantity is unknown like Uranium (U) in Ladakh.
Renewable resources are unlimited and are not affected by Human activities.
Non-renewable resources are resources which have limited stock and which takes thousands of years to get renewed.

Now how can we save these resources for the future generations?
Here only the Sustainable Development comes, it refers to carefully utilising resources so that it can meet the requirements of the present, but also take care of future generations.

~Thank you~
I hope you learned something new today!
